We understand that, throughout the construction of the Logistics Operations Centre, you may have questions regarding activity happening on and around the site.

Which company is undertaking the construction work and why were they chosen?
Winvic Construction Ltd was selected by Prologis to build the Logistics Operations Centre. Winvic has worked successfully with Prologis for 18 years and has an excellent track record delivering distribution and logistics facilities across the country.
Winvic shares the same values as Prologis and Jaguar Land Rover in terms of its commitment to and approach actively engaging with the local community. As a Partner of the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS), Winvic adheres to a five point code of considerate practice and is committed to working in a respectful way, not only being mindful of its workforce, but also the public and the environment. Winvic consistently achieves above average scores and wins awards for best practice.
Winvic provides opportunities for local young people to find employment as well as work placements for undergraduates from local schools, colleges and universities. Winvic is committed to committed to supporting the local economy and where possible endeavours to source materials and labour locally, both to give to give back to the community and to reduce its carbon footprint.

What the different roles and responsibilities of Jaguar Land Rover, Prologis and Winvic?
Prologis is leading the construction phase of LOC on behalf of Jaguar Land Rover. Winvic is contracted by Prologis to build the facility.

How will local residents be kept up to date during the construction of the LOC?
Prologis, Jaguar Land Rover and Winvic are committed to working closely with the local community and keeping local residents well informed on the project.
In addition to the information provided on this website, residents will receive regular updates via the Jaguar Land Rover residents’ newsletter and drop in sessions. Once construction begins, Winvic will have a dedicated site office which residents can visit to discuss any concerns directly with the Winvic team. There will also be a dedicated number for any urgent concerns regarding activity happening on and around the site.

When will works begin on site?
The main building work will begin on site in early January; however, you will see some initial enabling work in December.
How long will be construction process take?
Construction of the building will take approximately 57 weeks, until Feb 2021.
Will there be traffic congestion that will affect my commute?
We’re committed to being a good neighbour and will try to minimise disruption as far as possible.
How will you manage the road closure and changes?
Generally, any road closures will be planned to occur out of hours and at off-peak times to minimise disruption. We will work closely with Solihull Borough Council to agree a traffic management plan, as well as working with site neighbours to communicate and coordinate activity.
What delay can I expect to my journey?
Depending of the time of day it’s possible you may experience some minor delays but every effort will be made to keep any disruption to a minimum.
Will vehicles associated with the works be able to park in residential areas?
No, site vehicles will not be parking in the local roads; they will park in a designated onsite car park.
Will there be facilities for drivers to use on site?
There will be full welfare facilities onsite including toilets and a canteen.
What will you be doing to address noise and dust as part of the construction process?
Generators will be silenced and noise readings taken regularly. Air quality will also be checked weekly; however, should you have any concerns you can speak to a member of the Winvic construction team or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
What time of day will work start and finish?
Generally working hours will be in line with planning; 7.00am to 6.00pm, Mon – Fri, and 7.00am to 1.00pm at the weekends. No work that might constitute a noise nuisance will commence before 8am and not at all on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
